Recent tragic cases of child abuse and maltreatment has called for a closer screening of prospective adoptive parents (PAP). Psychological evaluation is now required by most regions in Russia and Kazakhstan, and may soon become required for adoptions across Eastern Europe. Psychological Evaluation is also required of single parents adopting from Guatemala and other Latin and South American countries. Adoption Psychological evaluations offers that extra added assurance that families have been evaluated for risk factors which might interfere with parenting. While no evaluation can 100% predict behavior, psychological evaluation can help identify whether certain individuals are likely to be able to cope with the special needs of adoptive children and the stresses of parenthood.

Dr. Busch has contracted with a professional testing service and obtained state of the art technololgy to provide comprehensive psychological testing online for adoptive parents. Call for details! Please note: Your agency may tell you that "you need an MMPI-2." This means that you need to take the MMPI-2 as part of your psychological evaluation. The MMPI-2 is not a pass/fail test. According to the legal and professional guidelines of the American Psychological Association, standardized psychological test reports must be interpreted as part of an evaluation. Your or your agency will receive a concise, informative easily translated, notarized report summarizing the evaluation and test report with the doctor's license attached
